Over the past year and a half , GROWMARK FS Energy has consistently made positive strides against the many challenges related to blending the Southern States customer base into the Mid-Atlantic operations . The growth momentum picked up steam at the beginning of fiscal year 2022 and is charging full speed ahead today , albeit prudently .
Prior to the acquisition of Delmarva region locations , GROWMARK FS , LLC supplied propane service only in the Western New York area at two locations , Albion and Caledonia . Now three additional fullservice locations are operating in the Mid- Atlantic , offering not only propane , but expanded energy options including clear road diesel ; dyed diesel ; heating oil ; 87 ,
89 and 93 octane unleaded gasoline with ethanol ; and biodiesel .
Stretching Territory Reach Led by Energy Operations Manager John Schatz , the team ’ s goal is to extend the footprints of both the Dagsboro , Delaware and Centreville , Maryland markets to the south and north , respectively . Increased residential LP and fuel oil load is the primary focus for growth in the area , while also targeting the non-residential market . This strategy is expected to open multiple opportunities for agricultural use and commercial bulk diesel supply , and residential and commercial LP loads . Centreville also has ample opportunities to grow both diesel and LP loads in the expended service territory .
Customer Training for All Staff Critical to the future growth of energy and propane in the region is sales savvy for all staff . From the moment the phone rings , email inquiry arrives , or a customer walks in the door , the clock is ticking on the opportunity to gain the business . Each employee has a role to play in that sales process , and GROWMARK FS plans to provide consistent training and reinforcement coaching in this vital area .
The whole-team approach is a foundation for Energy Sales Specialist Bernie Reilly in the Dagsboro location . On an impressive pace acquiring an average 45 new customers per month , Bernie insists their success is a team effort .
