All in all, it took a 19-hour bus ride, then a 1.5-hour bus ride, and finally a 45-minute walk to get to this tea farm.
Worth it? Absolutely!
The Kulung’s became family to me, so much so that I was invited to a family wedding while I was there. I was able to teach their son how to complete a Rubik’s cube, and they taught me about the Nepali language, tea, cooking, and farming. It was an unforgettable experience.
If you ever have a chance to embrace the unknown, do it. Get out there and travel, even if it’s right around the bend.
