Ladies' Looks

Lots of people eagerly await the change of seasons from spring to fall. Everyone loves leggings, sweaters, and scarves. But what about winter? I will admit that I dread winter time for clothes and fashion because all I want to do is bundle up in my brother’s hoodie and wear the same pair of fuzzy socks all season. However, this season I decided to get inspired.

Tactiles, Textures, and Patterns, Oh My!

Layering can be exciting when it’s done with variety. And it’s easy too! I start with a printed top and basic pair of faded black jeans. From there, I choose something with a different tactile. Some simple ideas are velvet, fur, suede, or leather. A fur vest or open velvet button up look beautiful and really pop when layered over patterns. Accessories can be your best friend when switching up your look and still staying warm. Fur or printed gloves, a beautifully colored or patterned coat, a textured bag, or a stand-out boot are some ideas. There are so many possibilities. An embossed clutch is a unique and easy way to add a punch to your outfit if you decide to keep it simple.

Brainstorm everything you own that has variety and texture. Knits, furs, patterns, plaids, lace, velvet, and denim are all things you might have in your closet right now. Find ways to layer these pieces to complement each other. Accent with a beautiful coat and viola! You’re fashionable, unique, and most importantly - warm!
