M. Raquel Urrutia
“Professor of psychology”
Nowadays each time is valued less the branch or subject philosophy, because it is said that they want to eliminate it because it expands the minds of the students and makes them lose the focus in their lives that is why many ignorant people say that the bouquet does not serve, denigrate this subject of cataloguing it sciences as useless. Today we are here with the teacher Miss Raquel Urrutia of the Establishment school Woodland English to tell us that you feel and think about this issue, as in your working day, as is the relationship with your students, etc.
1. Why did you want to
study psychology?
A: Because I loved the reading of philosophical texts, the different paradigms that can pose, new insights, new questions.
2. How do you relate to your
students? Why?
A: I consider that I relate relatively well with my students, since I try to be assertive with them, in their development stage. I try to be a help and a guide for them, using my tools to be a support for them, I want them to become good people.
Why have you stayed so
much in the Woodland?
Answer: Because I consider
that there are excellent
students, with many
capacities, that can be
developed, achieving great
achievements: in critical
thinking, in argumentation,
in value. I like that, that I
can philosophize with my
students, they already have
a base to think.
4. What do you think about a little appreciation for the philosophy sector? Answer:I think it is serious, because it causes tremendous damage to students, since the system thinks that the philosophy is unnecessary from pre- kindergarten, I think that is to be mediocre and underestimate the students, and I suspect that the system thinks it is inconvenient to give deeper intellectual tools to students; motivate them to be autonomous, really autonomous, rather than simply repeating concepts and formulas.
