USA is home to 31 universities that rank in top 100 in the world out of which 4
universities are at the top. These are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
ranking at number one in the world followed by Stanford University at the
second and Harvard at the third position. California Institute of Technology
stands at fifth rank. Universities in the US have a holistic way of evaluating the
profiles of prospective applicants. They look at lot of factors like the GPA, GRE
score, TOEFL score, Statement of Purpose, Letter of Recommendations and
resume of the applicant and then they take the final decision.
