description (Revelation 21:1–22:5).
God is glorified when we “perform”
for his honor and fame. N o t hing
worthwhile in life can be put into a box
labeled “irrelevant to glorifying God.”
Everything should be done for his glory
(1 Corinthians 10:31). “It’s not like I’m
going to slack because I know that I’m
still going to glorify God [elsewhere],”
Ertz says. “God gave me these talents.
God put us in this situation. There were
a lot of things that God made go right
for us to be here. So I want to be able
to glorify him through all these things.”
