For about seven minutes my audience
gave me a deafening standing
ovation. I wept uncontrollably. The
last thing I had expected was for
these people to respond in such
a way. The conference manager
was set to speak next to close the
event, but when he approached the
microphone, he said, “We’re all done
here today. Go home. I’m not even
going to attempt to follow that.”
What is your why? Could the rescue
of child sex slaves be part of your
why? Is there another “least of
these” for you? (Matthew 25:34–40)
The least of these—the lowest of the
low, the hurting, the oppressed, the
violated, the enslaved—who are they
for you? The truly profound thing is
that your why is connected to God’s
answer. It’s time to take action.
