light. With gentleness and compassion,
we can provide those impacted by
abortion a safe and judgment-free
space to release shame and regret and
receive healing from our loving and
forgiving heavenly Father.

This message of freedom and wholeness
aligns perfectly with my ministry and
is the crux of my book, Counterfeit
Comforts. In regard to the effects of
emotional trauma, whether abortion,
abuse, betrayal, abandonment, etc…
all of the feelings we are not dealing
with are dealing with us. We often seek
relief from repressed pain by turning
to comforts such as food, alcohol,
shopping, cigarettes, sex, and other
counterfeits to find temporary relief,
but we can become enslaved by these
counterfeits. Only the Holy Spirit, the
true Comforter, can offer true relief and
healing at the place of our wounding.
I believe we are on the brink a mighty
shift in culture, and I pray that the
healing of hearts for both individuals
and for our nation is at hand, and in His
hand.
