exactly what I have been doing for the
last fifteen years. I love nothing more
than seeing people set free with the
truth of the Word and the power of the
Spirit. I have ministered the message
of experiencing the fullness of what
is available to believers in Christ and

I had no intention of ever returning
to acting, but God had another plan!
Through an “only God” series of events,
I was randomly introduced to the
writers of the hit film, God’s Not Dead.
They shared the story of their latest
project, Unplanned (IN THEATERS
NOW.) Unplanned is the true story of
Abby Johnson, a planned Parenthood
clinic director responsible for over
22,000 abortions. She had a radical
encounter with God and is now a pro-
life activist. They invited me to read for
the role of Cheryl, the head of Planned
Parenthood and Abby’s mentor.

I quickly had a strong knowing that I
was to play this character in this “for
such a time as this film.” I was offered
the role and after a fifteen year hiatus
was back on the big screen.
Once on set, there was a feeling in
the air and camaraderie between the
directors, producers, cast and crew that
what was being created corporately
was far larger than the individuals
involved. There was a sense that this
film had the potential to shift culture,
and that Unplanned was not your
average movie but could usher in a
movement.
The message at the heart of Unplanned
is one of love, redemption, and hope.
With the release of Unplanned comes
a great opening for healing–both
individually and culturally. There is an
opportunity for each of us as Christ-
followers, and especially leaders in the
body of Christ, ministers and pastors,
to allow Unplanned to become a
