swim bottoms filled with sand on the
ocean floor. And, then there are those
times that we willingly jump off the
surfboard, grab it and try to bash the
wave away… The thing is, that wave it
is still coming. And, in my experience, it
has a gift in it somewhere.

We do know His truths…
“God has a plan.”
“Everything happens for a reason.”
And, we must build from the foundation
of His Word…
For he wounds, but he also binds up…
Consider it pure joy…
And we know that in all things God
works for the good…
For I know the plans I have for you…
What we must remember is that in the
depths of grief, or in a season of 10-foot
swells, we have to grab our courage,
speak the words, and love well through
the foundation these truths provide, not
necessarily touting them.
To truly live out Romans 12:15:
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn
with those who mourn.
Both, with those we lead and allowing
others to love us well too.
Showing up in our sacred truth, with
our struggles as sparks of light and
not armor, we will find that we can sit
beside someone with their pain and
allow them to sit beside us with ours.
