Is anybody willing to help with the CAS book stall at Trapiche
market, held on Tuesdays from 9.30am until 1.30pm? The
money we raise on this stall is much needed to help us help
sick and homeless/abandoned animals in Nerja. We do have
volunteers to man the stalls but they don’t have access to a
vehicle large enough to transport the books, tables, etc. It
wouldn’t ne ed to be every week but any help would be greatly
appreciated. If you feel that you could assist us, please contact
us on 608 876 488. Many thanks.
CAS cat corner
CAS focuses much of its efforts on helping cats that live on the
streets, or in the right circumstances, rescuing a friendly feline
who has been abandoned. Regularly CAS is called upon to
assist stray cats which may require veterinary care such as
sterilisation, evaluation and medication for infections or
illnesses and/or the treatment of wounds. As always, CAS is in
need of fosterers for kittens, especially, but not only, those that
need bottle-feeding. Also, we do have several adult cats
needing homes or foster homes. All of these cats are fully
house-trained, neutered, and vaccinated. For more information
on cats see the Facebook group: East of Malaga kittens and cats.
Could you help?
CAS is always in need of more volunteer
helpers in a number of areas, so if you have
spare time to fill, please make contact! In
particular, more fundraisers are needed to
work with our team. In addition, fosterers are
always required to take short-term care of
animals until a permanent home can be
found for them. Even if you are only here for
few months a year, CAS would appreciate
your help. For a no-obligation chat, contact
Vera on 95 252 9670 for general enquiries.

CAS Shop News
Believe it or not, there is a reasonable chance that autumn will
arrive within the coming months. Be sure to stop by the CAS
shop to browse a fine collection of trousers, sweaters, scarves,
boots, accessories, etc. We also offer an excellent selection of
books, bric-brac, DVDs and numerous other items, all at crazy
low prices. We are located in Nerja at the top of Avda Castilla
Pérez. Open Monday to Saturday from 10.00am until 2.00pm.
And despite the tough times and
uncertainties, money is always needed to
cope with the continuous flow of abandoned
dogs and cats requiring help from CAS.
If you could donate a little to help the
animals, CAS would be most grateful.

And, of course, we are extremely grateful for all of your
donations. CAS is always eager to hear from people who are
interested in becoming shop volunteers. One four hour shift
once a week makes a big difference. There are always two
volunteers per shift making for a safe, relaxed, congenial
environment. *Please note: The CAS shop has a new phone
