Hello and welcome to the March edition of Soltalk. And it’s a
special month for our Welsh and Irish readers with St David’s
day on March 1 and St Patrick’s Day on March 17! Happy days
to you all! There will be some parties happening as you will see
in the following pages.
Speaking of parties, two of our
most loyal readers will be
celebrating 70 years of marriage
on March 4 and will receive their
(third) card from Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II to mark the
event. So Joyce and Dennis
Brookes of Fleet, Hampshire (aka
Mum and Dad) have a wonderful
day and many more to come!
We are pleased to welcome the return of our LawTalk article
this month thanks to De Cotta Law, see page 32. We also have
all our regular articles including the ever popular Jottings
which we found especially funny this month, see page 24.
We hope you enjoyed Carnaval last month despite our little
slip up with the date in last month’s WhatsOn page. As usual
scouring the internet more than a few days before any event
seems to be futile and as the poster for the event was launched
several days after we went to print we got it wrong! We
apologise for any inconvenience and did immediately put the
correct details on our website and Facebook page. Speaking of
