join a choir? We are inviting new singers
to become members of the local, long-
established choir, Coral Coraxalia under
the leadership of Eusebio Pita. Great,
friendly atmosphere, all nationalities,
good repertoire, performances and
concerts, social events, possible touring,

& Books. Time 11am to 1pm. A wonderful
opportunity to meet friends and make
new ones over a cup of coffee, tea or fruit
juice with a piece of homemade cake.
Time to browse our boutique with a range
of new and nearly new clothing and
accessories. Our household goods have
some surprising bargains! There is also a
wide stock of second hand English books.
You can book tickets for coming events
and excursions. There is also a little bit of
paradise to enjoy sitting in the garden. We

Thursday August 15 - Excursion to
Almuñecar Fireworks. Please come and
join friends of Lux Mundi, Torre Del Mar
for the spectacular fireworks display. You
will travel by coach to join in the
festivities in honour of the Virgen de la
Antigua (Virgen of the Old). She will be
carried in a procession from the Church
of the Incarnation through the streets to
the beach of San Cristobal, where many
boats are waiting at sea to accompany the
image to the Playa Puerta de Lam. There
then follows a fantastic firework display,
set to music, against a backdrop of San
Miguel Castle and the Holy Rock. On
arrival there will be plenty of time for you
to take refreshments before the display.
Now in its 31st year, CAS helps to rescue
and rehome abused, abandoned or
homeless animals in Nerja/Maro. For

COSTA CAMERA CLUB
A group of all nationalities. From
beginners to experienced, we meet to
learn, share information and enjoy each
other’s company taking photographs. Our
common language is English. We meet
4th Thursday of month at the Salon Social
Capistrano Village at 5.30pm. On 2nd
Thursday of month we visit somewhere to

CUDECA NERJA SUPPORT GROUP
to help people who are living with the
difficult situation of cancer or other life
limiting illnesses, or those who care for
them. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of
each month at 11.30am in Cafeteria

FERNANDO’S FRIENDS
A support group for people experiencing
loss (through death/ ill health/ loss of self-
esteem). Including volunteers, nurse,
psychologist and social worker. The aim is
to have a group of “friends” to support
each other through tough times, picking
up the phone just to say hello, sharing
information. We are looking for people
who are willing to support others, e.g. to
spend time with someone, provide lifts,
do practical things around the house. If

Founded over 30 years ago GINS has
around 300 Members from many
countries around the world. They play
competitions at Anoreta, Baviera and Los
Moriscos every week with monthly away
games at interesting courses around the
Costa del Sol, guests are welcome to join
them at any of these. They also have a
social calendar for members and their
partners to enjoy away from the course.
