Outsize icons
An outsized sunshade and two huge
deckchairs have appeared on Peñoncilla
beach in Torrox. It’s the latest effort to
stamp an attractive tourism identity on
the town. In previous years, the town
hall’s campaigns created shade in Plaza
de la Constitution with a huge covering a
coloured umbrellas, and highlighted the
fishing heritage of El Morche with
hundreds of goldfish. Thanks to Lydia
Taylor (pictured above) for the
photograph.
