Club Nerja Rugby Two weeks later they entertained current
league leaders CR Estrecho from
Sotogrande. Having suffered a 0-61
defeat earlier in the season Nerja were
keen to get their revenge over the
visitors. In a more confident display
Nerja led by 20-12 at half time. It was,
however, a less confident display in the
second half. They surrendered some of
the lead but managed to hold on to a
three-point margin until midway
through the half. Then Nerja picked up
two yellow cards in quick succession and
the visitors made use of their two-man
advantage to run in 3 tries to open up a
14-point lead. Following a try apiece the
final score was 41-27 to Estrecho.
Following a run of three defeats away
from home Club Nerja Rugby were glad
to get back home and to their winning
ways on 23rd February. They were able
to score 11 tries in a comfortable 61-12
defeat of near neighbours CR Victoriano
from Rincón de la Victoria. This was a This defeat dropped Nerja back to fourth
position and needing a win in their final
game against Málaga. This game has
fallen foul of the national emergency and
awaits resolution of the current situation
before it is rescheduled.
