FERNANDO’S FRIENDS
A support group for people experiencing
loss (through death/ ill health/ loss of self-
esteem). Including volunteers, nurse,
psychologist and social worker. The aim is
to have a group of “friends” to support
each other through tough times, picking
up the phone just to say hello, sharing
information. We are looking for people
who are willing to support others, e.g. to
spend time with someone, provide lifts,
do practical things around the house. If

Monday April 20 - U3A Art Appreciation
Group. This year we have been looking at
French Artists and to continue in this
theme we are going to be using Tim
Marlow’s series on Great Artists. Time
11.00. €3 / €2.
Tuesday April 28 – Trip to the town of
Archidona situated east of Antquera in
province of Málaga. There will be a short
stop for a comfort break en route and you
will also visit the natural monument “La
fuente de los 100 Caños”, where there will
be a 1km walk to see the source of the
Guadalhorce River. Here the water flows
through a high number of emergences,
and has always been collected by many
different irrigation systems with the top
and bottom ones connected by a huge
number of pipes and the water flow
results in an impressive show.
You will join the bus again for the short
drive to Archidona where there will be a 3
hour guided tour of the town (in English).
This will include the Castle, Mezquita,
Medieval/Arabic Walls, and Plaza
Ochavada, Victoria Church, Cutural
Centre, Museum and more. After the tour
there will be free time for lunch (not
included). Depart Archidona at approx
4pm. €21 / €20. Departure times: Viñuela
