Maycon Moura on board Normand Trym.
–I therefore decided to change workplace,
and chose Solstad on the recommendation of
my wife. She told me how the ships operate and
about Solstad’s way of doing things. I identify
with this and wanted to work in the company. We
also received the help of Solstad to coordinate
our time off. After working for 2.5 years with
Solstad I'm sure I chose wisely, Moura says. He
says it can sometimes be tough to be onboard,
far from family and friends.
-It’s good to have a family member onboard
with me. Having a good relationship with your
workmates is also important since you spend
time with them over long periods. I definitely think that we have good working relations
onboard Normand Trym, Moura says. Normand
Trym is a supply vessel carrying cargo to Petrobras rigs.
–I've received an excellent training and support onboard, especially from my former boss in
the engine, Boguslaw Radonski. Sadly he died
earlier this year, and he is deeply missed. The
master of Normand Trym, Rolf Nielsen, has been
a great help and I appreciate that he recommended me for promotion, Maycon Moura concludes.
