them more security.

- We know it is not up to Solstad, but we hope in the longer term to be able
to get contracts that extend beyond the three months we have today, says
Enriques.

from OSM to Solstad

Captain Magne Ormseth attended the information meeting. He welcomes
the news that his colleagues from the Philippines will become Solstad employees.
- It is a positive move that everyone will belong to Solstad, and we hope to
get a rotation system in place to establish a more permanent crew. Ormseth, who has been with Solstad for 20 years, says it is essential to have a
crew who knows the ship and its equipment. Chief Engineer Reidar Kirke is
also happy that these seamen will become Solstad employees.
- Pension rights earned in OSM will be retained
- Solstad’s crewing company in Manila will contact the seamen when transfers from the various ships begin. Each employee therefore needs to contact the Manila office and submit
contact details.
- According to plan, employees will be transferred from OSM
to Solstad during the first six months of 2013. Transfers start
in January, and after that they will continue the crew have
been transferred on all our vessels. Until advised otherwise,
Filipino seamen are to contact OSM.
