KABUL, Afghanistan (29 Dec 2014). Leaders from the European Union Police
(EUPOL) Mission Afghanistan and the German Police Project Team (GPPT) participated
in a joint ceremony to sign a “Memorandum of Cooperation” hosted by U.S. Brigadier
General Burke Whitman, Resolute Support (RS) Deputy Advisor to the Ministry of
Interior (MoI). “The three organizations EUPOL, GPPT, and ISAF/RS are here today
to memorialize our greater collaboration in the form of a memorandum of
cooperation,” said Brigadier General Whitman. “The memorandum symbolizes a
renewed spirit of coordination among the entities in their common goal to develop
the professionalism and sustainable capacity of the Ministry of Interior and the
Afghan National Police to protect and serve the people of Afghanistan.”
