Nestled in the hill of the Guacamayas , nujestra community seeks to build from the ancestral stories of the people Muiscas where our father the sun , Xue taught us the summer solstice , on this special date we offer yours to ask for the blessing of the annual harvests , the fertility of our lives and the prosperity in our homes , with great celebration and joy among our people who still paint their body and get drunk with chicha to play the ancestral yew . the best form of reconstruction of the social fabric , not in the middle of a head-to-head war , but from heart to heart
In which today we want to be builders of the world we live in , a complex world ; where every day we experience the bitterness of the open dinners of Nuyestra America in which forced displacement is increasing as a result of wars , violence , poverty , food insecurity , inequality , social exclusion , climate change and disasters of hydrometeorological origin . and recorded a daily average of displaced persons greater than 28,000 . History is one of the most powerful tools that we can individually and collectively have as citizens . Only by considering the passing of people and the processes in which they are immersed can we achieve a projective knowledge of our daily experiences . With history we learn from others , we learn to respect them and know how to criticize them ; we learn , in the end , from ourselves , from our identity sometimes recast between coming and going . Here is a part of the history of the Guacamayas neighborhood and more than anecdotes recover all the types of triumphs and struggles - daily , large , small - that its inhabitants gave and are giving to constitute , without a doubt , one of the most urban universes interesting in this , in itself , conflicting city . The premise that motivates this work is that thinking about history is the first step to reflect on the future . Without that commitment our practice can be disturbed . We hope with this text , that it can only pick up a portion of the history of the people of the Guacamayas neighborhood , motivate actions and feelings in the new generations of inhabitants , those who plan to stay a long time and those who are passing through . Finally , this document aims to be a tribute to all the inhabitants of Guacamayas that thanks to their effort , their persistence to achieve the dream of having a decent home , they have managed to slowly build a fabulous neighborhood , a portentous physical environment if we consider the initial situation . The construction work of this neighborhood can not be forgotten and must be valued by the new generations because only then can we understand the magnitude of the achievements and struggles that have taken place . Only then will we know on what basis to build collective projects in the future
We allow paths where mutual support , self-management , active solidarity , empowerment of the most marginalized recreates the bases of true popular power , where our most ancestral indigenous costrumbres which are directly associated with the barriers imposed by being marginalized and that currently divides our community through constant spikes of violence
