The chamber is also a member of CCI France International, the network of the French Chambers of Commercee and Industry Abroad, which comprises of one hundred and twenty French Chambers
& companies across the world. It is the largest private network of French companies in the world. Taking advantage of this large network, we reach out to and connect with companies to promote and facilitate collaborations in
India. We offer various servicess to our members including networking events, business support, advocacy, employment services. Recently, in March 2018, IFCCI played a role in the state visit of the President of France – H. E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron to India where we co-
Economic organized the prestigious bilateral economic event,‘ The Indo-French Partnership Signing Ceremony’, along with the French Embassy in India. The event welcomed more than two hundred and fifty delegates wherein major agreements worth $ 16 billion were signed between French and Indian companies.
How can we develop better economic and commercial relations between India and France?
Historically, India and France share very strong relations, since the signing of the strategic partnership in 1998. And have been working together in areas such as defense, aerospace, security, climate change and energy. The alliance between the two countries is built on trust and respect. Trade relations have progressed over the years
, with more than one thousandss active subsidiaries of French companies across twenty Indian cities, and these numbers are only set to grow in the coming times. However, it is my opinion that bilateral trade between the two countries has immense scope for further growth, in certain key sectors such as Smart cities. At IFCCI, we offer such advocacy services, which help companies, tap into these core sectors. How can people from Tier II and Ties III towns of India have access to the conferences and workshops? Since 2017, IFCCI has considerably grown its team to meet its business ambitions and has started expanding into new areas with representation in Chandigarh and Pune. Based on opportunities, we will further expand into Tier II and Tier III cities.
