She also helped the inhabitants of Samanabad by establishing a girl’s high school in 1980 to help the working ladies especially those coming from out of Lahore. She actively contributed in the establishment of working women hostel.
She was a well-known philanthropist and a renowned educationist. It was her wisdom to foresee the need of blending most modern western educational system with eastern cultural values. Begum Sahiba introduced Montessori system in Pakistan in 1960 after her Montessori training in U.K.
The present management board is striving hard to carry on the principles laid down by the founder. Mrs. S. U. Perwaiz as a President Management Board. She is highly educated lady with fertile experience of 30 years in this education field. She did her Masters in Sciences from Punjab University and M.S. from University of Southern California USA with specialization in Biological Sciences. She had earned her MBA degree from UK followed by various Montessori Training Courses and Diplomas.
Mrs. Perwaiz’s main passion is to provide education with international standard. For the purpose, the Management of the school hired British teachers in 1996 for Prep and Jr. Section. Apart from academic excellence, special emphasis was given to co-curricular activities.
To fulfill this purpose, school has a well-equipped computer lab. A beautiful swimming pool is added endeavor of school management to provide healthy deviation to the students.
To create awareness for the countries surrounding Pakistan and also keeping in view the geographical and geo – political changes, school has started a separate geographical section. Like wise to develop artistic skills, a section for arts & crafts is already working. Dramatic society organizes plays time to time.
Mrs. S. U. Perwaiz believes that education does not end for success in examination. Education must reflect from personality, habits and all aspects of life. She believes that application of education and knowledge in everyday life can be achieved gainfully only if it is imparted meaningfully. It has always been the endeavor of the school management and the academic staff to earnestly devoted to this cause.
Lahore Presentation Convent is one of the pioneer institutions in an endeavor to realize the firm belief in the ideology of Pakistan. It is a highly reputed institution having a purpose built building on 12 kanals of land with 40,000 square feet area.
It was established in 1984. The School Management is based on Highly Educated and foreign qualified members with almost 30 years practical experience in the field of education. The prevailing members are making sincere efforts to impart knowledge of ideology of Pakistan to generate a sense of national pride and to develop a spirit of patriotism and loyalty among the students.
