Eczema is a broad term that encompasses a wide range of skin rashes that leave the skin red, itchy and irritated. In the early stages, there may be tiny fluid-filled blisters which leave the rash moist and oozy. As the days progress and the rash is left untreated, the moist red skin turns pink and scaly. As the child continues to itch and scratch for weeks or months, the skin starts to turn thick and dark like the bark of a tree. www. society. qa 41
