Eddie Somerset is more than just your typical rap artist from Philadelphia. He is the poster child for perseverance through pain. His style is unique, his energy is contagious and his words are as real as the streets of North Philadelphia.

His writing began as an outlet, a resource needed to escape the craziness of the world that surrounded him. It quickly transformed into a love affair with expressing himself through words. He was raised in a hiphop atmosphere with his older brother King Teff and close friend Chris Bugz living rite next door he didn't have to look far to learn how to perfect his craft. Eddie Somerset joined forces with King Teff and Chris Bugz to form a group called the C.U.P Family. They released their debut mixtape titled "Family First" early 2011 on datpiff.com . The C.U.P Family recently signed a contract with M.I.E music group formally known as DrahmaMusick/IslandDefJam. Their hit

single "Fight" is set to be released on the Ray Daniels project Summer 2012.

Eddie Somerset is currently promoting his debut solo project titled "Megatron Rise of The Fallen" including his hit single "It's So Hard Out Here" ft J.Serious you can check the video out @--> http://youtu.be/ZK-zkMRvym0 released for free on datpiff.com --> http://www.datpiff.com/Eddie-Somerset-Megatron-Rise-Of-The-Fallen-mixtape.331906.html
