STM: Tamara where are you from?

I'm originally from Philadelphia. I currently reside in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

STM: How long have you been writing?

I've been writing since I was twelve years old.

STM: What inspire you to be an author?

I was a drama major in high school so I had to write monologues and plays quite often. It was something that I got used to doing on a normal basis. Writing became a part of my everyday life.

STM: How many books do you have out now, and what is the current book out now?

I have four books out which include, Karma Always Catches Up With You, which is also available in an edited version for young adults. I also released How To Make A Dress For School Dance and Mrs. Toowee's Magical Music Chair was the latest book to be released.

STM: Do you have any favorite books of other authors?

I don't have any favorite books to speak of but I do have a favorite author by the name of Eric Jerome Dickey.

STM: What does Tamara Rollins do in her social time?

I'm an entertainer so I enjoy performing. I also travel as a literary speaker to high schools and universities. I also enjoy holding free workshops at local libraries where I provide children with free books and teach them how to make a one of a kind dress creation using my new how-to book How To Make A Dress For Your School Dance!

STM: Have you done any book signing and when will be the next one?

I have done many book signings and my next one will be at Strayer University in early November.

STM: What advice would you give a child that wants to become a writer and follow and your footsteps?

I would say "Every day you have to do something that will get you closer to being the person you want to be."

STM: What do you want people to know about Tamara Rollins?

I want people to know that I'm so much more than an author. I'm an actress, model, entertainer, editor, literary speaker and the owner and operator of SoUneque Magazine. Most importantly I'm a mother and I will do anything to support my children. I also love giving back to the community and empowering the youth.
