Every culture has

their own quirks

and traditions, and

with wedding season just around

the corner, I

decided to travel the

world exploring

some of the

interesstng

wedding rites of

passages of the

world.

After the reception on their big day, the bride and groom enjoy a special meal together... out of a toilet. The symbolic rite of passage is said to give the couple strength and unity for their marriage as well as symbolyzing the end of the party. As family and close friends stand by as witnesses, the couple must finish the entire chamber pot of leftover alcohol or a mix of bananas, chocolate and champagne!

What is a Rite of

Passage?

A rite of passage is

a ceremony, ritual or

event that marks the passage from one stage of life to another.
