O objetivo deste artigo é identificar os mecanismos de intervenção
técnica, utilizados pelo Assistente Social no atendimento e
fortalecimento do transexual. A vulnerabilidade familiar, econômica e
social maximiza a transfobia, dificultando a garantia de direitos e
acesso a políticas públicas. O resultado esperado é que o estudo
possibilite ao assistente social, um olhar crítico sobre a questão social
em si, mas também indicar formas viáveis de empoderar o transexual e
orientar seu status de cidadania e sujeito social.

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to identify the technical intervention
mechanisms used by the Social Worker in receiving and strengthening
the transsexual. Family, economic and social vulnerability maximizes
transphobia, making it difficult to guarantee rights and access to public
policies. The expected result is that the study allows the social worker
to take a critical look at the Social Question itself, but also to indicate
viable ways of empowering the transsexual and guiding their status as
citizens and social subjects.
