O objetivo do estudo é mostrar a importância da interdisciplinaridade
na APAE, para o desenvolvimento pessoal dos portadores de autismo.
Essa pesquisa científica tem caráter documental e bibliográfico,
partindo-se da abordagem da APAE que define o autismo como um
transtorno, esse que afeta o domínio da linguagem e inabilidade social.
O resultado esperado, é a integração social do autista. Para isso ocorrer
o autista deve ter uma equipe interdisciplinar, que está voltada para a
integração social e as políticas públicas e sociais que atenda essa
demanda. O assistente social pode contribuir atuando junto com a
família na busca de seus direitos.

Abstract
The objective of the study is to show the importance of
interdisciplinarity in APAE, for the personal development of people with
autism. This scientific research has a documentary and bibliographic
character, starting from the APAE approach that defines autism as a
disorder, which affects the domain of language and social disability. The
expected result is the social integration of the autistic person. For this
to occur, the autistic person must have an interdisciplinary team, which
is focused on social integration and public and social policies that meet
this demand. The social worker can contribute by working together with
the family in the search for their rights.
