Over the course of the week , Ms . Mericle ’ s first graders were asked to think about the way those with disabilities - or different abilities , as we agreed - experience life . We talked about the big issues of inclusion , accessibility and compassion , but focused on the simple but important things too : similarities , friendship and fun .
