To ensure the implementation of the School-Based Assessment is on the right way, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pusat Penyelidikan Tun Abdul Razak, Jerantut, Pahang has organized a briefing session on School-Based Assessment (PBS) improvement on April 3, 2014 (Thursday), which held on 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. A total 40 teachers from school nearby attended on this briefing. These schools involve are:

The ceremony began with a prayer by Ustaz Khusyairi B. Ahmad. Then, the ceremony continued with welcome and introduction by Mr. Adnan B. Hj Abdul Kadir (PPD Jerantut). Briefing session conducted by Mr. Ghazali B. Mohidin Principal of SMK PPP Tun Razak.
The Improvements were made after a number of studies done on the implementation of PBS before. Accordingly, the Education Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin made a press statement the improvement of School-Based Assessment (PBS). There are a few issues that occurred during the implementation of PBS are:

Solution of first issue, Ministry Of Education has set DSP simplified to guide development of student learning. Teachers can record the level of student achievement of their own. This recording illustrates the development of students' learning during the learning process. As a result, teachers are not burden with the data collection and student evident that is too complex.
Then the solution of second issue, teacher are no need to provide Student Development File (FPM) and Transit Record. Teacher can make the record depend on their time suitability
Lastly, the third issue solution, teacher can fill Student’s Achivement Record through offline.
The response and feedback indicated by the teachers are very encouraging. The SMK Pusat Penyelidikan Pertanian Tun Razak hopes that the briefing can be used as a medium to disseminate information to perform the duties of teachers in schools and space for teachers to meet student parent and share ideas.
