Unlike the past, this era’s fashion was highly persuaded by teenagers. In the past, much of the fashion had been produced for adults and teenagers just dressed in what they could, but with television and cinemas, the kids of the day were turning into the trend-setters. The average teenager strived to be like the latest hit flicks star. Although fashion had
previously been to show class, fashion became more casual and less restricting. It became more appropriate to show a little skin and to go down the street in a comfortable, low key outfit.
