Pulaski County
Welcome to Pulaski County, Kentucky’s third largest geographical county with an estimated population of 63,000 and
home to three marinas located on beautiful Lake Cumberland. Lake Cumberland is a point of destination for everyone
to enjoy whether you enjoy water sports, fishing or simply relaxing in a secluded cove enjoying the pristine scenery from
your houseboat.
Lake Cumberland is one of the largest man-made lakes in the country. Many parts of the lake are over 1 mile in width
and stretches 101 miles long from end to end. And because there is over 1,255 miles of shoreline and over 63,000 surface
acres of water there is plenty of room for boating, fishing, water sports and site-seeing. Can you imagine boating the
same direction all day and never reaching the other end.
In addition to Lake Cumberland, Pulaski County boasts
numerous parks for recreational possibilities, such as camping,
hiking, bicycling, site seeing, SomerSplash Water Park-over
20 acres of clean family fun, Somernites Cruise – a car lover’s
dream the 4th Saturday April-October, historic Mill Spring
Battlefield and Visitor’s Center for the Civil War historian plus
a wide variety of events and festivals, including the Master
Musicians Festival featuring local and national recording artists
and held in July.
Pulaski County Park is approximately 800 acres in size and
is a hidden Gem of Lake Cumberland, often overlooked and
passed by but once found it becomes a special place that you
