As a character artist, it is important to
show that you can translate a concept of
an established character into 3D, as well
as showcasing variety. I have done a few
stylized pieces in the past, but nothing
reminiscent of Anime. This concept in
particular not only allowed me to create
something highly stylized, but also had
a layer of versatility between industries.
When I started creating this, I also wanted
to give the feel that it could be 3D printed
as an anime figurine.

took around three days, although I started
Retopology for the characters took a little
under a week, and texturing took about
two days per character. The characters
also have the same body type, so it was
a modular process that helped quicken
things along. I sculpted in ZBrush, did my
retopology and rigging in Maya, baked
Normals and did my UVs in 3ds Max, and
rendered the entire setup in Marmoset
Toolbag 3.
