“Terra’s Dream”
“Terra’s Dream” was the first level that
I developed “Terra’s Dream” during
Role-Playing Games (RPGs), I wanted to
improved and polished it during the
I created at SMU Guildhall. As a fan of
respect Skyrim’s RPG mechanics and still
make the project feel unique. With that
philosophy in mind, I came up with the
story for “Terra’s Dream.”
In the level, players have to enter a
prince’s dream in order to find the root
of the mysterious illness that afflicts him.
Once inside this dream, players get the
chance to use the Clarity spell, a power
that reveals the truth behind optical
illusions. They also get to use “Gravity
Portals” that allow them to walk on the
ceiling of a floating castle.

following mods at the Guildhall. In total, I
spent around two months, or 300 hours,
working on it.
Some of the biggest challenges that I
faced were related to communicating the
unusual game mechanics to the players.
Working on “Terra’s Dream” also taught
me the importance of color coding
gameplay-relevant elements (every optical
illusion in “Terra’s Dream” has a purple
glow) as well as the enormous influence
that lighting has on players’ choices.
