Biomechanical Throne

This Directed Focus Study focused on creating a high-fidelity biomechanical hero prop that explores the combination of organic and hard surface forms. Inspired by the visual style of H. R. Giger and my personal interest in biomechanical aesthetics, I used this project to further develop my organic hard-surface modeling and sculpting skills.
This project strengthened my understanding of biomechanical asset creation and helped refine my workflow for translating complex visual reference into production-ready game art. The techniques explored in this project are directly applicable to hero prop creation and support my continued development in organic hard surface and environmentfocused asset production.
Completed over approximately two months, this project challenged me to create a complex prop with detailed surface work, flowing structural forms, and a cohesive biomechanical visual language. Throughout the process, I explored approaches for building modular organic components and improved my ability to control streamlined silhouettes and the transitions between interconnected forms.
