AR Leyendecker-Style Outfit Simulator with Dynamic Material

In this project, players can use an android mobile device to scan physical cards, which generate base characters and individual outfit pieces in Augmented Reality( AR). By equipping a complete outfit set, players can trigger dynamic material effects, such as animated embroidery growth, blooming floral elements, and expanding decorative forms. These effects were achieved through a combination of material blueprints, vertex color masking, and morph targetdriven animation, allowing for layered and responsive visual transformations.
The project took approximately ten months to complete. Starting with limited experience in blueprint systems and AR development, I progressively built the interaction logic and resolved technical challenges through iterative problem-solving.
This process strengthened my understanding of real-time pipelines, particularly in 3D clothing production, material systems, and shader-based effects. It demonstrates how interactive fashion systems can be extended beyond static customization into more expressive and responsive experiences.
The integration of AR and dynamic materials offers potential applications in characterdriven games, virtual try-on systems, and interactive digital fashion, where visual transformation can enhance both user engagement and narrative expression.
