Catalog Introduction:

GRADUATING GAME CHANGERS

This catalog showcases individual and team-based work by our 2025 graduating students. Each has selected a degree focus in one of the four cornerstones of game development: Art Creation, Level Design, Production, or Software Development. The projects represented offer a glimpse into the collaborative effort required to succeed in this interdisciplinary industry.
SMU Guildhall was designed as a living laboratory for the future of professional game development. We teach in the style and pace of the industry. Our students learn by doing. Each student develops specialized skills via independent projects and research, and then joins their cohortmates to build three cross-disciplinary team games under the mentorship of our industry-veteran faculty.
One of the important values we instill in our students is iteration. Keep learning. Update a design until it is great. We practice what we teach. With more than 20 years of iteration, SMU Guildhall has a proven track record of continual improvement. Our close partnerships with leading game development companies ensure a vibrant and current curriculum, and our 1000 + alumni have gone on to achieve great things at approximately 350 game studios globally.
As you explore the collective and individual accomplishments of our students, I am sure you will see how their projects exemplify the vision and talent we foster here at SMU Guildhall. Join me in celebrating our graduates’ achievements!
