Hyper Modularity , Foliage , and Decay
My thesis is a Japanese shrine in Sci- Fi style . The artifact is composed of architecture with different structures and foliage in glass tanks . There are two texture sets for architecture — decay version and pristine version . I used the decay texture sets for one of the buildings , putting different kinds of foliage around it to show my decay mastery . I used Substance Designer , Painter , Photoshop and 3ds Max in my thesis project , and the scene was built in Unreal .
I chose hyper modularity , foliage , and decay as my thesis mastery because these three skills are important and widely used when building game environments . In the development process of my project , I learned new software and techniques , and my environment creation skills increased .
