A Pilot Study on Emergent Leadership in Small Game Development Teams : Leadership Style , Identity , and Reputation
This project aimed to identify the relationship of leadership style through bases of social power and identity , and reputation through managerial process behaviors , in regard to emergent leaders on small agile game development teams . participants among six teams made up of five to seven members . Once the survey period ended , I spent another five months analyzing the results of the gathered data through statistical analysis and interpreting the significance .
I chose this project because of my experience and interest in team formation during the development of SMU Guildhall Team Game Production 2 title , HaberDashers .

Through this project , I learned foundational skills of statistical analysis and conducting social studies . This project could be immensely useful to the video game industry by providing a framework for team construction that produces emergent leaders .
