Stylized Foliage Concepts and Modularity
In my thesis project , I created advanced materials , designed stylized plants , and explored the technique of making modular kits for different types of art assets . The final artifact is an alien planet .
I chose this project because I could exaggerate everything inside its environment using my creativity , making it unique . The project took approximately 335 hours to finish .
One of the outcomes from this project was the improvement of my Substance Designer skills . The material that I made could be used for different purposes .
By tweaking the parameters of my material , it could change from a forest ground into a swamp . It could also turn into a honeycomb , pasta sauce , ground meat , blood vessel , and more variations if needed .
I also was able to learn that modularity not only works for architecture . The stylized tree is the best example of making modular assets using my creativity .
