Girl Scouts Together

For more than 100 years, Girl Scouts in Southeastern New England have demonstrated resilience, learned the skills, embraced the experiences, and cultivated the sisterhood that help them impact their communities today and accomplish great things tomorrow.

In this time of uncertainty, our mission continues. In fact, more than ever, girls need Girl Scouts.

Girls need Girl Scouts to help them stay connected to their communities during a time of isolation and upended routines.

Girls need Girl Scouts to ensure that while the format of school has changed, they continue to pursue their passions and do not experience learning loss.

Girls need Girl Scouts so they can walk boldly towards sisterhood, justice and fairness.

And what’s more, our nation needs Girl Scouts. During this pandemic, Girl Scouts are stepping up in creative ways to power our promise. Girl Scouts are taking action to give back in their communities. They are leading service projects across our council and donating cookies to comfort frontline workers.

Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to continuing to prepare girls to take the lead, explore their passions, and make the world a better place for generations to come.

Unstoppable volunteers and staff ensure that in a time of great loss, girls do not miss out on these formative experiences. Girls learn resilience as they watch their leaders find new ways to ensure the connections that result in lifelong friendships.

During a time when outdoor experiences are safe places to be, it is exciting that in less than a year we will have a 100th birthday party for Camp Hoffman. I can’t wait for you to see the beautiful new pavilion that was built this summer thanks to an early birthday present from the Champlin Foundation! Consider having one of your troop meetings this fall or spring under the pavilion—meeting outdoors is ideal and if it rains, we’ve got you covered!

So looking forward to seeing all of you in the year ahead!!

Warmly,

Your CEO - Pam
