After all the success we had with the Digital Drop-Ins, you can imagine our excitement when GSUSA announced that the fall recruitment event would be: “Animal Dance Party.” We had already been getting our virtual event practice in with the Digital Drop-Ins and didn’t even know it! We took weeks to develop our plan and to strategize our marketing and advertising. We debuted our first Animal Dance Party mid-August and what a success it was! We had a fantastic turn out of both current and potential members and spent about an hour together: learning to dance, sharing our favorite kinds of animals and animal facts, making a craft, and more. We are very much looking forward to taking our show on the road where we can work with service units to put on these recruitment parties on a more local level.
With all the success we are having, we wanted to be sure to give our new girls an opportunity to have the Girl Scout experience right away. We will now be offering multi-level virtual troops and we couldn’t be more excited to get them up and off the ground. We want to place any new girls waiting for a troop into our virtual troop right away so they begin to make new friends while they wait for traditional troop placement!
