Created to commemorate our history and celebrate the G.I.R.L.

(Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ of today, this celebration covers each area of the GSSNE Centennial Patch Program and offers fun activities for the whole family. Enjoy activity stations, visit booth displays, and even learn more about Girl Scout History!

This free, family-friendly event will begin with registration at

1 p.m., all activities will begin at 1:30 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. at which point we will begin the Girl Scout Rededication Ceremony.

What’s a “Rededication Ceremony” you ask? A Girl Scout Rededication Ceremony is a great way for returning members to kick off the troop year and renew their commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law—this is a great way to come together as a council as we celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting today, and well into the future.

Feel free to bring your own picnic

and enjoy the park. To register for this fun

afternoon, click here*! To learn more about

the Centennial Patch Program, click here.

Please note: We do recommend wearing bug spray at this event. Given the current EEE status in the state, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management advises using bug spray with at least 20% DEET (do not use bug spray with DEET on infants under two months of age). For those who have recognized the timeline change for this event, this is in light of the EEE status as RIDEM also advises the avoidance of being outside during dawn and dusk hours, by concluding our event by 3:30 p.m., we are adhering to their recommendation.

*Registration for this event closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019.
