Introducing our newest GSSNE team members!
Danielle Moore is working with GSSNE as a S.T.E.A.M. specialist in a contracted, grant-funded position made possible by the Roddy Foundation. She is from Douglas, MA and has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island. Danielle has previously worked at a URI lab as a researcher specializing in
deep-sea biology, and has also interned with the
Inner Space Center and Save the Bay, leading tours and activity explorations for groups of youth. In her current role, Danielle will directly deliver S.T.E.A.M. programs to girls, and will also provide adult workshops related to
the new S.T.E.A.M. badges and Journeys. Danielle was a Girl Scout from Brownies through Cadettes, and has a passion for science/tech communication and
empowering girls to join S.T.E.A.M. fields.
Janie Woodard, Membership Service Specialist, is extremely excited about being
a part of such an amazing team at GSSNE. Janie has a passion in uplifting our youth and families towards reaching their GREATEST POTENTIAL. Janie has an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting where she has worked at Rhode Island Hospital as a Medical Secretary. Janie is
also a Certified Spanish Medical Interpreter where she has helped break the language barriers in the community. Janie also prides herself in being a Licensed Real Estate Agent, where she has had a great opportunity in helping families gain access to many programs and grants to accomplish their dreams in becoming first-time home
buyers. Janie is super excited to bring her passion to the Girl Scouts team!!
