A popular event for fans all over the world we will be charging into the Sherwood Forest for the 30th Annual Robin Hood Festival. A real must for everyone. Come and experience the fun and colours in this real mythical setting. There will be regular Festival Folk entertaining us alongside some new acts! Inside the courtyard you will find a shop, a cafe with a small kids play area tourist information/exhibition showcasing Nottinghamshire and also on site toilets and baby changing facilities.

Make time to visit the Major Oak. An ancient oak, one of Britain's most famous trees, is located just a ten minute walk from the Visitor Centre. Maybe you will meet Robin Hood? Once a royal hunting forest, this is the legendary home of the

outlaw and home to the Robin Hood Festival, a colourful celebration of the life and

times of the world's most famous outlaw. Or if you are feeling adventurous follow

the waymarked trails A free self guided leaflet available in Visitor Information and

reception. The Blue Trail takes you on a 45 minute circular path round the Major Oak.

The Green Trail takes about an hour and skirts along the Longhorn Cattle enclosure. The

Red Trail takes approximately two hours and leads around the forest. Suitable for all ages. Or

for a slower pace browse around the Visitor Centre shops or relax with a coffee or a hot snack in the Forest Table Restaurant.

Or we could take you to Mansfield the largest retail destination in Nottinghamshire after Nottingham City, where you will find a traditional, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Attracting over a hundred thousand shoppers each week, the town centre offers a vibrant mix of big brand and independent shopping choices within the Four Seasons Shopping Centre, St Peters Retail Park, and the Rosemary Centre – and across an appealing network of quaint shopping streets surrounding a traditional market square.
