Withdrawal Procedures If a student is withdrawing from Smitha Middle School , the enrolling adult must contact the front office Pupil Personnel Clerk to begin the withdrawal process . The front office Pupil Personnel Clerk will handle the withdrawal process , which may take up to 24 hours to complete . If the student is enrolling in a school outside of Cobb County School District , the school-issued laptop , charger , and bag must be returned to the front office . If the student is enrolling within the District , then the student will keep the schoolissued laptop , charger , and bag . Regardless of the location of the new school , all books must be returned at the time of withdrawal . All student records will be provided to the new school upon written request from that school . Transcripts or record requests must be made in writing and received by the counselor at least one week prior to the mailing .
