Please make sure your child brings money each day . If your child arrives at school without money for lunch , we will allow up to $ 3.50 in charges in middle school . All charges should be paid back immediately . If your child exceeds the charge limit , he / she will be provided an alternate meal ( i . e . sandwich and milk ). No alternate meal will be provided for breakfast . Students may not bring carbonated beverages , energy drinks or any glass containers to school . For students who choose to bring lunch from home portions should be single sized not family-sized . Also , students may not bring carbonated and / or energy drinks to school . For cleanliness reasons , students may only bring water in their personal water bottle to school . As a school , we promote healthy , well-balanced diets . We encourage parents to monitor what food items students bring for lunch , because healthy , well-balanced meals improve academic attention and participation .
Parents are encouraged to complete a Free and Reduced Price Meal Application . The application is also included in the student folder that student receives on the first day of school . When a completed application is submitted , the notice of approval or disapproval is sent home with the student . The processing time may take up to ten ( 10 ) working days for eligibility determination ; therefore , parents / guardians need to either pack a lunch for the student or give them money to purchase school meals . All applications are confidential . Additional applications may be obtained either through the café manager or through the front office .
Students are encouraged to prepay for lunches for the week , month , quarter , or year . Payments can be made at the time students purchase breakfast or lunch . Students are required to use their 6-digit Cobb County Student Identification number for all purchases made in the café after accounts are established . Students must pay for their lunch with cash until an account has been established . Students may ask the cashier how much credit they have on account , or you can call our Café Manager , at 678-594- 8268 to check the balance .
Parents may eat lunch with their children . Please remember to sign in and get a Visitor ’ s Pass from the front office . Due to federal guidelines , please do not bring or deliver any food from fast food restaurants to your child when visiting our café . Our goal is to have the best meals possible for our students at a reasonable cost . When compared to a home-packed lunch of equal nutritional value , school lunches are a bargain .
SCHOOL STORE The school store hours are from 8:45 a . m . to 9:10 a . m . The store is in the Grade-level Commons Atrium . Students will be able to purchase school supplies .
