The bushfires that swept across NSW in October were devastating. They affected hundreds of homes across the Central Coast and the Blue Mountains, including one staff member from John Holland who works with our team on GLRL. SMEC Sydney decided we could help raise funds by holding an International Food night and donate our beer fund. The staff put their chef hats on (or some wives' did!) and brought in a dish from somewhere around the world. Dishes ranged from Turkish Papa a la Huancaina to Vietnamese meatballs and they were all delicious!
With the company's beer money contribution and the donations from staff we raised over $500 for the cause.
