Let's start with some great news! SMEC is continuing to win numerous projects, especially in Western Sydney.

Upon completion, the GSTC will accommodate

approximately 6,800 residents and 8,600 workers

O'Riordan Street, Green Square

SMEC Australia (including SMEC Urban) is project managing the realignment of O’Riordan Street at Green Square on behalf of UrbanGrowth NSW. This site is a

key location within the Green Square Town Centre

(GSTC) and the realignment of O’Riordan Street at this site is also identified within Transport for NSW’s Long Term Master Plan.

Claymore Urban renewal project

Surveying services include review of existing contour & detail survey, prepare plan of proposed subdivision for two stages, provide all Works-As-Executed survey and preparation of WAE Plans, Fill Plan and compile Section 88B Instruments. The Claymore Urban Renewal Project seeks to improve the quality of the social and urban environment by creating conditions conducive to the establishment of a sustainable place to live.

Glenmore Park Stage 2

SMEC Urban has been recently awarded the design and construction supervision of Glenmore Park Stage 2 Western Sydney, NSW Sewerage Pumping Station and Rising Main for regional client FKP Mulpha. Originally engaged as Project Co-ordinator and Water Services Co-ordinator, SMEC are now engaged on additional elements of scope including contamination & planning.

East Leppington Precinct

SMEC Urban has recently been appointed to commence work on the latest project being undertaken by the Cornish Group,

a longstanding regional client of the Western Sydney office.

The project is within the new East Leppington Precinct one of the fastest growing residential precincts of Sydney’s South West Growth Corridor. Congratulations to Pat McNamara and the Western Sydney Urban team.

SMEC Urban were initially engaged to undertake a feasibility assessment of the project for the Cornish Group as part of the acquisition process. We are now working with the client as principal consultant delivering survey, planning and engineering design services that will create around 250 new residential dwellings as part of the initial staging.
