Smart Solutions Newsletter Spring 2014

smartnew newsletter EDITION 01 May 2014 find us on From the desk of Nathan Bowles Welcome all to a new edition of our company newsletter. From your feedback forms received at the Spring Staff Meeting, one of the things you asked for was some more communications about what’s going on around the company, so the intention is to release these when we have things to tell you about. He said: “In order to sustain and build on Smart Solutions’ fantastic growth over the last six years, I need a trusted and robust board to help drive the company forward. “This is a significant milestone in Smart Solutions’ development, and the team of experts we now have advising the company will help to map out and deliver our future. The board brings together a pool of extensive expertise in Wales, the UK and internationally. “Since establishing the executive board two months ago, we have already created a strategic growth plan to double our size and revenue over the next five years. “I’m confident that the appointments will not only ensure that this plan is delivered but that Smart Solutions is run efficiently and with full compliance, yet continues to be entrepreneurial and reactive to our clients’ changing needs. The appointment of the board will help us penetrate new areas and emerging markets.” Smart Solutions has enjoyed a period of strong growth since it was established in 2007. In the 2012-2013 financial year, Smart Solutions increased turnover by more than 50 per cent from £20 million to £42 million, and it is aiming to increase its turnover by up to 80 per cent by its tenth anniversary in 2018. “The team at Smart Solutions has worked tirelessly during our first six years in business to establish ourselves as a quality brand in Wales and the UK.” If you have contributions, stories, case studies or ideas you’d like to share with your colleagues inside this format, please email them to Paul Cleverley. I do hope you will get some value from this communication and feel free to pass it on to anyone who you feel might be interested. This month I would like to make you aware of the last edition of MRW magazine and its new cover boy. Whilst still dealing with the embarrassment of the front cover, the feature is a testament to the level of commitment and good work we’ve been doing in the Waste Sector. That the magazine should feel it worthy to dedicate four pages of its content outlining Smart Solutions’ contribution to the industry and taking very seriously the plans we have for the future, it is a real compliment of our strength, market position and reputation that you should all be very proud of.
